Last week CEIR published a report entitled, The Effect of Economic Recessions on Exhibitions. CEIR has had the ability to look back over their data and compile a report which shows that even in a recession, trade shows are relevant. “The report’s findings indicate that even though attendance and exhibit space may decrease in recessionary periods, key buyers continue to attend each year and the percentage of attendees that actually have plans to purchase remains high.” www.ceir.org
If an exhibitor is well planned, they can have a solid performance at a show. In fact, they can scoop up some prospects because the competition is not there.
I believe that those exhibitors who are going to shows are serious about what take place in this wonderful face-to-face environment. However, there may be some exhibitors who need help in making sure their exhibit goals and plans are thoroughly thought out and actionable. This is where I have a solution.
