Let’s Talk about Trade Show Leads

by Joyce McKee on June 21, 2010

Over the week-end I have placed the finishing touches on the PowerPoint presentation for the upcoming webinar on Trade Show Follow-up: the Ultimate Competitive Edge.  I hope you have signed up for the event.  If not here is the link for registration.

The sponsors for the webinar are: Bartizan, PRMconnect and IAEE.

I was gathering information from Lew Hoff of Bartizan last week and he was sharing some points that I will be using in the presentation.  First of all the iPhone app has been well received by those that have downloaded it and used it.  They are finding it very easy to use!!

Lew had thought his current terminal and hand held devices were easy to use, but the iLeads app eclipses them.  One striking change has occurred with the ileads app – users are placing notes about the prospect into the  iPhone app.

When Bartizan’s conventional terminals are  returned, the observation is that qualifiers and notes are rarely part of the records. However, when iLeads is used with iDevices (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad), the majority contain both qualifiers and notes.  The contrast is quite striking.

The users are taking the time to place valuable information into their systems so that the sales people have a robust picture as to the disposition of the lead.

The old adage, garbage in – garbage out can now be thrown out the window.  This new app is aiding and leveraging that initial contact and allowing ease of use to translate important information it into their CRM systems.

One iTouch that came back from a show contained over a 1,000 leads on it and 90% of the leads had additional information recorded!!  Now I hope that since the booth worker captured the information the follow-up and follow through will be stellar.

The ileads app can be used anywhere! This means that if a conversation with a prospect occurs  someplace else other than the show floor, i.e. the bus ride to the convention center, in a line for food, etc. the iPhone user can get the necessary information into iLeads.  Talk about mobile!

The ileads app is allowing a GREEN element to his company.  He does not have to ship the terminals and/or hand held devices to and from the show when iLeads is being use, thus reducing the carbon foot print.

If you would like to see a demo of the app, go to the Bartizan site.

Each company has their own unique definition of what a qualified lead is and the customizable fields the iLeads has allows the user to customize their information.  Well I could go on and on.  I am biased, Bartizan is my client and I have been involved with the creation process of this product.  When Bartizan uses the phrase – “You told us what you don’t like about lead retrieval – we listened” is based on the online focus groups I conducted over a year ago.

Now back to the webinar, I will be sharing a road map so that you can trust of your CEO and have a seat at the revenue table.
