Riding The Waves of The Economic Tide

By Joyce McKee | March 13, 2008

Yesterday the Dow was up over 416 points – the best single day growth in 5 and half years.

The word dramatic is being used – and it was most certain a correct description of the day.

We are being battered with all sorts of economic news – some good and some not so good.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

I have been having some discussion with some of my trade show colleagues and we are talking about the “news” and how it relates to our business.

And quite frankly, the news for our industry is not bad.

Are there shows that are down a bit – yes.

But what about all those who did attend and have carried on having buyers purchase their products?

So there were a few less attendees – they still went on to have sales as a result of the show.

Now, if you are not prepared for this marketing activity – it is a waste of time, money and effort to exhibit at a show.

And I would recommend – don’t go. However, there is enough evidence that the tool is well versed in turning prospects into customers.

I am placing the finishing touches on my new book, The Secret to Achieving Brilliant Returns at Your Next Event: a Guide for Maximizing ROI and ROO

Of course, I will provide more details in the coming days.

Until next time…
