Get Access To Industry Leaders Face To Face at Trade Shows Like Expo Expo

By Joyce McKee | December 19, 2007

Chance meetings that turn into new relationships – that is the power of face-to-face events!

As I was leaving the hotel last week and heading to the airport, I caught a ride with fellow EXPO EXPO attendee, Mike Hatch.

He’s the Senior Vice President of a2z – one of the suppliers to the trade show industry.  Even though I had been on the show floor, we had yet to meet – until now.  In the cab ride we discovered that we had many common relationships – a small world.

And I am grateful to have met him. The same occurrence took place many times during the show.

Another new friend was apart of the eMERGE panel – Stephen Nold.  We had a chance to speak briefly during a break and I am looking forward to getting to know him.

He has been blogging for awhile and that affords me the opportunity to better understand who he is and what he has to say.  I am impressed by what I’ve seen! In fact, the scales are tipped in my direction – I know him better because I have taken the time to read his many blog posts.

Based upon what I have read we have many common interests, especially when it comes to the Web 2.0 and how it will impact the world of trade shows.

As I was reading one of his posts – he talks about how we can sit at the feet of many great teachers due to the advances in technology.   In the past we would need to be with them personally and now we can have enlightenment via the internet, reading a blog.

Stephen closes his blog post with this comment – “The opening of new frontiers previously closed is just one of the benefits of Web 2.0 technology. Where else can the average guy interact on a regular basis with industry leaders?”

And that is what this blog is all about – bring the world of trade show material to the average person. I want to help navigate the road to successful trade show experiences with you.

Stay tuned…
